Alright yall Imma give you the straight up, unedited, unredacted, play-by-play of what went down at Ginger Pho last night. First things first, y'all know I have my Banh Mi collection trying to find the best Banh Mi in Grit City. While I was down in Lacey I had to keep it trippy and take a look at what they're workin with too. So here goes: "Damn this place is empty AF" [asks for my drink order as I'm being seated] *no need to look at the menu* "Ma'am, I already know what I'll order too - 2x fresh rolls, 1x chicken Banh Mi, and a large Thai Tea" [I leave for the bathroom] [mariachi music is playing from the kitchen] *pause* if you hear MARIACHI music coming from the kitchen of a Vietnamese restaurant it's a huge red flag. Let me continue: "Damn! Thai tea and spring rolls already out!" "Gottamn! These spring rolls are GOOD!" "Yo! Banh Mi is here. Look at all those fixins!" "Aye this bread is GOOD!" Bottom line is this yall, Hot Ginger Pho has all the red flags that would typically steer me away from a place but surprised my expectations and honestly this restaurant pops off. I will also say the service was exceptional too - everyone there keeps it trill. I would highly recommend this establishment. Lastly that Banh Mi was so good I forgot to take a damn pic fr though. 5 stars.

We love the place. It was a late lunch, kids and I were starving. We ordered a regular Pho noddle and a BBQ pork rice dish. They looked pricy to me at first, then when I saw the actual dishes, they were BIG. Love the BBQ pork rice, it gave pretty good amount of pork chops with pretty balanced veggies (a cup of coleslaw and some Vietnamese salad with fish sauce) I was amazed that food was so good that kids wanted to order an extra bowl of rice to finish the rest of the pork chops. Servers were really attentive all the time and environment was nice and quiet (my kids were probably the only noisy source in the restaurant) I am happy with everything. The only 2 things I think the restaurant can improve. There are: 1. Pork chop is little salty (maybe that was the reason to make the dish delicious), kids got excited in the beginning and after all, got really thirsty. Otherwise, the dish was nearly awesome. 2. The fish tank needs to clean. We will make sure to visit in the future for different items. Thanks to feed our empty tummies with your yummy food.
